CityAnt is a city focused travel planning solution for the travel industry. This interactive web based solution uses advanced algorithms to generate fully customised travel itineraries based on a tourist’s preferences and constraints.
The resulting itineraries include everything necessary for a tourist to have a fulfilling city trip; tourist sights, activities, events, accommodation, restaurants & transport.
CityAnt is being developed using web standards to create itineraries that includes a travel company’s inventory, and operates as a service layer over the current booking platform.
Branded to fit the travel companies look and feel, CityAnt enables travel inventory to be promoted in the context of a city's attractions.

How it works
Recognising that each tourist has different priorities and approaches to planning, CityAnt offers 3 ways to plan:
- Custom: The Tourist selects the travel sights they wish to see, and CityAnt suggests a workable itinerary within their dates and constraints.
- Themed: The Tourist selects the themes for their trip (Romantic, Active, Architectural) and CityAnt suggests a workable itinerary that fits the themes to their dates.
- Recommended: The Tourist selects trips that have been recommended and CityAnt suggests an itinerary that fits the elements of the recommended trip to their dates.
Once the tourist has finished adjusting their itinerary they can then use it by:
- Booking part or all of the itinerary (sights, hotels etc);
- Sharing it with friends or other travelers;
- Printing it out and taking it traveling.
